Part 1.

One of the most complex and somewhat unsolvable issues that any management or company encounters is the program of employees’ motivation and loyalty, the thing is that such a problem appears as soon as the first employee comes into the office, and it will never disappear afterward. However, both the development of economic theory and empirical experience support the same thought that owners are the most motivated, interested and efficient employees, even more, the status itself is of much higher significance than the type of ownership and its percentage. For example, any shareholder can readily tell you how his/her attitude to the company changed after he/she got this status. Our company has also faced this issue of motivation and loyalty; the following text will present the way we are going to solve it.

Currently, IT-companies often act as a kind of platforms for testing various innovative approaches in management, for example, horizontal company management (it was a revolutionary solution at its time) is, if not mandatory, widely used in many IT companies. In general, the development of company inner relations based on the strict hierarchy is getting less common in modern companies, as the latter are more interested in their employees’ creativity than in the power vertical. This situation directly results from freedom, including the intra-corporate one. We reckon that hierarchy is losing its positions not only in management but also in the sphere of ownership. A lot of companies and corporations have been long employing stimulation programmes which provide managing agents with a part of the property in the form of joint stock capital. The relationship structure: chief-subordinate is changing into another one: owner-stockholder or owner-owner. We can say, modern technologies made it possible for the “impossible” to be achieved, as they could neutralize the difference between communism and capitalism, by transforming their fundamental postulates and ideas into something unknown, by destroying class contradictions and eliminating these classes altogether. Nowadays, living in the modern information society, we can say that anyone can be an owner, and even mere anyone must be an owner. A successful company or corporation doesn’t imply any strict hierarchy or vertical power and an army of hired employees obeying this structure; they are more like a synergetic community of individuals having both power and property to solve some tasks determined by their shared vision and charter.

We are trying to employ such conceptual suppositions and considerations in the practical management of our company. In other words, we attempt to share assets and, consequently, the company profit among its employees turning them into owners by using those opportunities provided by modern technologies. At first, we have to solve two issues, the first one refers to lack of property belonging to the company (in general, IT companies have very few material assets), and the second one is connected with its distribution mechanism.

Looking ahead, I can say, we have solved both issues, and the following sections will be devoted to the way we managed to do it.
